Time to get to it!!

I know, I know... I am the worst blogger in the history of bloggers...
BUT
Time to get to it!!!
Most people that know me are aware that I like to make at least half of the presents I give at Christmas time... Well... It is October, and I have yet to finish one single project... CRAP.
What have I been doing you ask??
Well, for starters, I drive about 500 miles a week. My days pretty much consist of: Taking Maddy to the bus stop for school (in Cottonwood Heights), going to work (downtown), picking her up from the bus stop after school, going back to work, and driving home (in Herriman)... Monday, Wednesday she has dance and Thursdays she has swimming lessons. And well, you can pretty much figure where most of my time goes. I spend about 2-3 hours in a car every single day. I don't know what genious inside me thought living in Herriman was a good idea, but she should be found and killed.
I get home and barely have the energy to put dinner on the table let alone do the do the dishes, the laundry and clean... So usually the dinner is all that gets done.
That leaves basically no time to sit at my sewing machine, or get out my crochet hook and yarn, or paint, or pretty much do anything. I even had to resign dancing with Compass Dance (one of the hardest days I've had in a while), because there was no way in the world for me to keep dancing Tuesday and Thursday nights.
It is a definite understatement to say that I am short on time now-a-days... BUT I am going to have to figure something out, and make a change or two, because there are things I have to get done!
So, my #1 goal for the week is to get my house under control, so that I can make the time to craft some gifts. There is no way I can justify starting anything (or resuming anything I have started) until my house is CLEAN!
In other news...
Maddy is LOVING Kindergarten. Here is a picture from her first day:
Evan's job at Hoy Engineering is dangerous, time consuming and physically exhausting on him... But we are SO SO grateful he has it! This job is such a blessing, and has lifted the huge stress of paying all the bills on one income off my shoulders. It is tough, but he is making it work (and bonus, he is getting some serious muscles! lol (; ) I Love him so much! He is such a great husband and Dad. I don't know what we would do without him!

Swimmin!

Maddy had her first swimming lesson last Thursday! She LOVES to swim. She does great with floaties, and has been getting more and more brave in the water the last year or so. She decided she wanted to take lessons a while ago, but we were putting it off. Thanks to my Mom and Dad we finally got the opportunity to put her in a private lesson, so we took it. She goes every Thursday for... I don't know how long. She is really excited! She did great last week and couldn't stop talking about how fun it was! We are super excited for her to become a great little swimmer.
Here are the pictures from last week:

Christmas

Was great! We spent the Morning between my Mom's and Evan's Mom's (which for those that don't know, are right next door to each other)

Then we headed to my Grandma's for brunch

Then we drove up to Corinne and spent the rest of Saturday and Most of Sunday there.

The only pictures I have are one from the morning, and one of Brandi in the car. Here they are!

Maddy got clothes, an art easle, zoobles, coloring stuff, an American Girl Doll, a Barbie with Corvette, a Leapster with games, and a bunch of other stuff I am sure I'm missing.

Ev got new slippers, Jeans and a shirt, Money, A nurf gun, and Ferrari Black.

I got a new band for my ring! It is so beautiful!!! And Clothes and Money also.

Spending time with all the different parts of our family in all the different places is by far the best part of the Holidays! It was a really great weekend!!!

12/24

I turned 25 this year.

For some reason 25 was hard for me.

Not sure completely as to why.

but it was a great night! With my great Family! And my mother and Sister-In-Law! And Nothing Bundt Cake!

mmmmmmmmmm.............

Fist time for everything

This was the first year in my entire lifetime that I did not spend Thanksgiving in St. George with my family.

Evan, Maddy and I spent Thanksgiving at Evan's mom's house.

When the dicision came about that we were staying in Salt Lake this year, I cried.... A lot... I thought that Thanksgiving would not be in any way even close to anything I have had my whole life, and therefore, it would definitely suck.

... Boy was I wrong.

It was totally different, and nothing close to what I have grown up with. But it was far from bad.

It was REALLY fun!!!

Sadly enough, there are no pictures that I am aware of.

But thank you to My Mother-In-Law and the great family I had an opportunity to spend Thanksgiving with! You are all great!

I feel like I grew up a lot this year.

So thank you Evan, for making me stay, no matter how hard I fought! Love you! :)

I suck at this

Not just saying that... but I really do! :)

I didn't have a computer for about a week, so that didn't help... But I haven't posted since October... How many weeks is that? Ya, no excuses. I just suck.

I have a few things to post about, so I suppose I should get started.

Coming soon:

Thanksgiving, My Bday, Christmas... and a couple others.
